Submissions to the Community and Regional Planning Program Office

All applicants are required to submit three (3) letters of recommendation from appropriate referees directly to the office of the Community and Regional Planning Program, 302 Architecture Hall, P. O. Box 880105, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE 68588. The Recommendation for Graduate Admission form.should be used to secure the letters of recommendation.

All applicants are also required to submit an Application Essay or Letter of Interest to the Office of the Community and Regional Planning Program, 302 Architecture Hall, P. O. Box 880105, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE 68588-0105.The Application Essay or Letter or Interest (400-500 words) should indicate the applicant's interest and motivation for graduate study and/or a career in community and regional planning. The Application Essay or Letter of Interest should list the applicant's professional and/or education goals and should address the following questions :

a. What is the applicant's interest in the field of Community and Regional Planning?
b. What issues, observations or academic/ professional experiences have motivated the applicant to consider this field of graduate study?
c. What is the applicant's motivation to consider a future career as a professional Community and Regional Planner?
d. Briefly describe how the Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska Lincoln will assist the applicant in accomplishing her/his professional learning and/or career objectives?
