It is our goal to improve housing and quality of life for community members by researching the factors related to quality of life, how they are interrelated, and how they compare from one population group to another.

Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC)

Through UNL's COPC initiative, one project developed a pilot system to allow, small, minority serving organizations (Lincoln's four cultural centers) to access today's vast technological based information, using web-based technology and Geographic Information Systems. A second project developed a neighborhood safety model, identified parameters, and collected data which is presented in a GIS format for public community discussion forums in collaboration with the Neighborhood Service Exchange, a collaborating community partnership organization.
